Two days before Christmas

So its two days before Christmas and its the last day of school. Wow... Its been a rough start to school. But I made it this far, I have had a lot of support from my great man, Robb and from my family. Gotta love them. Anyways, its time to pack the kids up for the bus ride home.

I will post again later.. I hope you like the new picture, its from Robb's Christmas party last weekend.

Making Meaning Unit 1 Week 1

Okay, so we are wrapping up the first week of Making meaning and we were to read a Bad Case of Stripes. What my partner and I needed were GRADES!!! So I went out and found some materials that were created by other teachers and posted on the web. I am going to some how put them on here too. If anyone knows how to add documents to a blog, send me a quick email. Thanks!!

Update of my Classroom

As promised, pictures of my classroom. Some of them are from earlier this week and some are from yesterday. I forgot to take some today. We (mom and I) have finished the bulletin boards.

 This is the bulletin board just as you come into the classroom. I made the paper then cut out the letters. Today, I put more animals on it, it doesn't look as blank.

This is my door, I think it turned out cute.

Getting Ready....

I am sitting here in front of my computer and thinking a lot. I recently found out that my students will be split. I am not sure if I will get the self-contain kids or the resource kids. So I am a little worried. There are good things and bad things about which set of kids I end up with. But I am excited to begin the new year. It will be much better than last. This year, I will have less personal drama. I have a great man in my life and he is very supportive of what I do. He's willing to do anything I ask and he can clean a house like no other.

As I sit here and type this I am reviewing my to do list for my classroom. I have so much to do and not enough time to do everything on it. When the school year ended, my entire classroom was  packed up, our school was painted over the summer. I went back once to work in my room. The paint job looks great. But the boxes are overwhelming. I at least put my tables and book shelves in the correct place. The next time I am in the classroom, I will post pictures.

Okay... I recently joined a lot of educators blogs. I would love to know how you guys got your blogs all cute. I mean there are some really cute ones out there. If you guys have any hints, please please please help.

End of School

its both a happy and sad day. i waved goodbye to former students who will move on to fifth grade. i also waved goodbye to the people that are reteiring and moving on with there lives. i also being to pray for my coworkers g through bioposies and lung cancer. the happiness is i ccan sleep in everyday and stay up late every night. other happiness includes no lesson plans and no teaching until september.

Trying Something New

A lot of things have been happening in my life the last year. I want to start documenting it all, but I am just too lazy to do the old school journal. So... I will try my hand at this again. Wish me luck.
