New Dreams

So its been awhile since I have posted. Since then, I found out I will be teaching at Woodstock Elementary School and will be teaching a couple different grade levels. I will also be the Special Education Committee Chair, I am a little worried. Its a lot of responsibility, but I think I am up for it.

In June, while on the Alaska cruise, Robb proposed. Of course I said YES!! So, now we are trying to plan for a wedding and deal with living separately still. Robb is still in Washington for work. We aren't sure when he will be moving back. But our goal is to get married next July. So.. the informal save the date is out there for bloggers, it'll be July 13, 2013 or 7-13-13. We picked that date because 7 is Robb's favorite number and 13 is my favorite number.

So today is August 8, and I am suppose to be getting ready to go back to school, but I have no clue where to start. I have no clue about my students or my new school. Its like I am a kid again and I am starting a new school with no friends and I don't know anyone. I am just at a lost.


If anyone has any suggestions on where I should start, please post. I am ready to pull my hair out.

Bigger Things?

Earlier this week I found out some devastating news related to work. I have kept it in and only shared with a a handful of people. But the reality is, my job at my current school has been cut. What does this mean? After five years of being here, I must pack all of my belongings and put them in storage until.... I am guaranteed a job for next year, I just don't know where.

2012

So we have been in the year 2012 for 10 days and if we listen to rumors its the end of the world. So I have decided I am going to live my life to the fullest. I just haven't figured out what that really means yet.

This year has already started out really well. I reconnected to one of my really good friends from college.

Two days before Christmas

So its two days before Christmas and its the last day of school. Wow... Its been a rough start to school. But I made it this far, I have had a lot of support from my great man, Robb and from my family. Gotta love them. Anyways, its time to pack the kids up for the bus ride home.

Making Meaning Unit 1 Week 1

Okay, so we are wrapping up the first week of Making meaning and we were to read a Bad Case of Stripes. What my partner and I needed were GRADES!!! So I went out and found some materials that were created by other teachers and posted on the web. I am going to some how put them on here too.
